How do i get mice to leave my home with out posioning them?

if i put all food away and keep my kitchen real clean will they just eat card board or something?How do i get mice to leave my home with out posioning them?
hi there... so you have mice.... well..... look around the ouside of your house see if you can see where they came in....

Ok next you can get an electronic devise which puts out ultrasonic waves which makes the mice and spiders and insects leave...

yes they do work. I used one when i had a problem with rats in the garage,,,,

Funny story though.... I bought some horse feed and becasue we didnt have a tack room i stored it in metals bins in the garage,,, I went to the local feed store came home with the feed,,,, emptied the bags into the bins... and out of the bag came a family of rats. they went everywhere... we had at the time 6 cats.... so into the garge they went... I saw thme catch what i thought was all the rats.. Anyway.... 4 weeks later i heard a noise in the garage.... yep... rats... 4 big ones..... and lots of little ones... in go the cats.... and i go to home depot.. I cant posion them because of the cats so i got an electronic pest controller... I set it up at the garage door.. pointing across.. so a few days later i open the garge door and go in... I disturbed the darn rats and they ran to the door and stopped like they had hit a brick wall.... where i had put the darn pest contoller it was acting like a wall keeping the dam things in.... I moved it to the back of the garage... and moved it forwards slowly and bingo.... out the rats went .. followed closely by 4 big fat moggies......How do i get mice to leave my home with out posioning them?
Put you up a sign ';CLOSED FOR REPAIRS'; if you just want them out of your house.......If you really want to gt rid of them.Get you some EAGLE 7...and let them have a picnic
Mousetraps
get a cat
Like most of he other people said, get a cat (or two). Or borrow one and I had one friend who just borrowed the litter pan and that scared the mice away. I've found that cats are most effective in the long run although some terrier are good mouser too (if you can't tolerate cats). I would not poison them anyway cause they stink if they die in the walls.
Get a couple of cats, try moth balls...cats hate them...use snap traps that kill ... poisons only encourage more to come.
Send them a teeny weeny little invitation telling them about a party in a house down the block ......

Seriously, it's almost impossible to get your home clean enough that mice won't find something to eat. They will eat the paste in book bindings, chew through cardboard boaxs to get at the cereal or spaghetti or whatever is inside the box, nibble at the leather in shoes -- all sorts of things that we don't consider to be food, they find to be epicurian delights. You could always get a cat - sometimes the presence of a cat will scare them away.Other times they wind up being McMouseburgers for your cat. But the law of the jungle is probably easier to live with than poisoning little critters.
do standup comedy in your living room
borrow a cat from a friend for a few weeks.....or simply get one of your own.
Get a cat. Remember what the cartoonist Kliban said:

';Love to eat them mousies,

Mousies what I love to eat.

Bite their little heads off;

Nibble on their tiny feet.';
You know pop-its? The little white thind you find around fourth of july that you just throw on the ground and they go pop? Throw those at the mice. Seriously they will get soooo scared they will run away and be too fightened to come back. You also need to figure out how they are getting into your home and fix all possible entrances.
