Is keeping a dog when i already have mice healthy for the dog?

I'm planning to get a puppy but i already have 1 mouse as a pet ..i'm just wondering if the puppy will be healthy if its exposed to the mouse...

or what if i seperate the mouse form the puppy, is it still ok to get a puppy? Is keeping a dog when i already have mice healthy for the dog?
I would make sure that your puppy has all it's puppy shots before you let the mouse and puppy interact and then I'd make sure you're watching carefully the first couple of times just so the pup doesn't ';eat'; the mouse or play too rough with it. I'm sure they'll end up being friends. Is keeping a dog when i already have mice healthy for the dog?
They'll be fine, I hope, just keep an eye on the puppy when you first get it and let it check the mice out in their cage and after a while show the mouse to the puppy while its in your hand and see how it reacts, I don't know but I don't think your mouse will last to long out of its cage, it only natural for a dog to kill it and then he'll bring in to show you. When my dog was a youngster he'd catch mice and bring then into the house to show like he's proud of what he's done.
yeah, it will be fine as long as you dont let the mice out when the dog is there, it might get a bit messy!

but it will be fine, i would just not leave the cage some where that the dog can get to it!

hope this helps
Why not ? As long as you don't let the dog try to eat the mice or harm them in some way. Also, dont pay the mice more attention then you pay then you pay the dog. Make it equal.
i used to raise mice and had 4 dogs...never had a problem with it...the dogs went in and out of the room that the mice were in all the time.
The mouse is not going to hurt the puppy. I would separate them for the mouse's sake!
