Is there any human ways of getting rid of mice?

I dont wanna kill em but i want them the **** out of my house. They are shitting and pissing every where and its disgusting. Is there any human ways of getting rid of mice?
Ahhhhh, mice. Last year they had a big party in my basement...started out when I saw one running across my laundry room...I thought well it is just one little guy, maybe this will be it (if you see one mouse he can have at least 20 more little friends just waiting to join the party) Eventually they got into some bird seed and spread it ALL over the basement, tucked it away in blankets, drawers, stuff toys...you name it there was bird seed spread all over...They even ate a stuffed snake that was stuffed with bird seed...and some Xmas ornaments that had been made with bird seed...It took 3 days, 5 hours each day to clean up the mess. I did not want to kill them either until this happened...so i bought two types of traps...the humane kind, that has a little door on it, they walk in get trapped and you have to release them somewhere ( I have been told you have to drive them at least 5 miles from your home to guarantee they won't get back into you house or your neighbors.) As much as I hated it we tried the glue traps which worked well, but they are awful. We ended up catching seven mice in all. You can call an exterminator or use traps to kill...unless you want to turn pest into pet! You have to really clean up the pee and poop as they carry nasty diseases...I had to wash every single stuff toy in our washer and throw out paper and other non washable stuff...it was a mouse nightmare! Cute as they are, you really can't continue having them in the house...they will just make a mess and could even threaten your health. I don't like it, but I did trap most of mine as the humane traps really did not work as well.

Here is a web site that features a humane mouse trap...type in humane mouse trap in your search and many more will pop up!!

Good Luck!!

Oh, we found how they were getting into our house...a teeny, tiny, hole was at the base of our storm door into the basement...they managed to squeeze in through thay way...Is there any human ways of getting rid of mice?
and that is why you need to kill them, where are they going next?
Wal-Mart or your grocer has traps that are little boxes and the floors of the box is sticky kinda like flypaper and they go in for some reason and get their little feet stuck. If you aren't scared (I am) to pick up the boxes with the mice in them put them in something they CANNOT get out of like a metal whatever and then drive to the country and let them out in a field or close to a source of water and they can live in the wild. But as to why you have them in the first place check your home to make sure they are not coming in through any holes .We had some that were getting under the house and then they came up the water lines under the kitchen sink and I think of all the times I put my hand back there to get something out it just freaks me out so check ALL the entrances where you have water lines, heating and air, dryer vents are a favorite cause it's warm and just close them off.You cannot close your dryer vent up but when not in use pull it out from the floor and sit something heavy there.Hope you are in a place where you can do this. But the little traps I spoke of will not kill them you are just supposed to pick them up and take them to your trash can but I always hauled mine off cause they could have got smushed in the trap and got out and played in the trash can or even got out and back into the house. If you like cats get you one they help too.Good Luck
There are things that you can buy that make a noise that scares them away.
a cat ,its part of life either that or get about 500 mouse live traps ,and get read y to quit your job and spend the rest of your life relocating mice
There are sonic generators that make a noise that is supposed to drive them away. You'd have to run it for a few days before you filled in any holes, so they have a way to get out. Otherwise you need to trap them with a live catch trap.

If you have a basement or crawl space you need to go down there during full sunlight, but put something over the windows to make it dark. You are looking for cracks and holes they can get into.

Holes can be filled with #4 Coarse Steel Wool and then secure it in there with Great Stuff or similar expanding foam. For cracks in block, use the concrete that comes in caulk tubes, works great! Seal all opening with something they can't easily chew through. Steel plates, mortar, etc...

Otherwise you may need to hire a professional exterminator, not to kill them, but to assist you in locating and blocking their entrance ways.
They do have little live traps....but unless you know how they are getting in....you can let them loose outside but they will probably just come back in.
We had mice and roaches after hurricane Rita hit out area. They started off in our garage and found there way into our house. I didn't want to put bit out and have them run off and die so I went to Lowes and found a device that plugs into a wall socket that emits a sound wave. Ever since then we have had no mice or roaches in the house.
Either get a cat, or lay down a few moustraps and FUHGETABOUTIT!!!!!!!
