How long can mice and rats stay frozen?

For feeder mice and rats (used to feed snakes), how long can they stay frozen until they are no good to use for feeding? How long can mice and rats stay frozen?
Some people say a max of 6 months, I generally keep them for up to a year (mainly because my source is an annual reptile show). You can usually tell if they start to get freezer burn... Especially pinkies, they look like little lepers. How long can mice and rats stay frozen?
If the storage container is airtight, frozen mice/rats can last for months and months in the freezer. So long as freezer burn is avoided, the prey item is good to feed.
rodebt pro where i buy my mice suggests 1 year.in an airtight container is the best
