What is the best sonic device to keep mice and rodents away and out of the house?

We get mice in the garage and house on occassion because we live near the woods. Rather than having to get the traps out every few months, we would like to use sonic devices. What brands are out there, and price ranges? How many do you have to use? And do they work? Cats are not an option at our house, please don't even suggest it.What is the best sonic device to keep mice and rodents away and out of the house?
The only ones that benefit from these devices are the companies that sell them. As much as the ads and infomercials try to make us think differently, a sound will not deter any animal from food/ survival.

Save your money on these things and look into blocking access. You may be able to solve all of your problems with a can of spray foam insulation. What is the best sonic device to keep mice and rodents away and out of the house?
Sonic devices haven't worked that I know of. but what does (since a cat is out of the question) is using skunk feces or ferret feces which I know sounds really bad but good garden centers actually sell it! This are natural predators to rats and mice. but you can also find a friend who does have a cat and ask for the dirty litter box. These ';items'; can be placed into coffee cans with holes in the lid, to be placed around your garage. At the edge of the woods, away from children, you can sprinkle these onto the ground.
I don't know about the sonic devices!

BUT! My mom stuffs steel wool in places they can get in from outside. She lives in the country, too!

Also, I clean with bleach, floors counters(they don't like bleach), put food in storage containers, and take out the trash everyday(quit feeding them), they will pack up and leave.
The sonic devices don't work. Get the cat!
The best thing to do is find where they are coming in at and fix the holes. Put metal in the inside of the hole cause they can't chew through it. Then cover it with plaster, cocking,or cement.

Check for holes in the foundation, under sinks, and around the house. Get Sticky pads and put them where you see mouse droppings.

You could try putting plastic snakes around your yard I don't know if it will work. But that is just a off beat thought. The rest of the things I said will work trust me.
A woman's scream
A sonic cat. If you're allergic get a prescription.
i think the mice get used to the sonic %26amp; eventually ignore them. sonics all the same.
