When mice or mouse enter your house do they stay or do they go out?

I saw a mice/mouse yesterday coming in my living room and going out again about 4 or 5 times, my parents say dont worry they are scared of Humans and will go out of the house as they feel scared in a house, but i dont know what to do, i can set traps but wondering if they work all the time or not, we've blocked all holes we had aswell. When mice or mouse enter your house do they stay or do they go out?
usually if you see a mouse there is more than one mouse in your house, they will find a food source so any pet food left down or on the sides will be eaten any bread or even crumbs on the floor will be eaten, they will breed it is nice and warm in a house and there is usually a constant food supple close at hand, they won't always leave but will come out when you are in bed, if you see mice in your house then i would set traps, it is not just the health risk (they run along and constantly pee and poo) but also they will chew wiring, we had a power cut and when we checked we found a mouse had chewed the wiring and shorted the whole house, luckily they did not cause a fire, we had mice with 3 terriers running looses so if they ain't scared of dogs who tried to hunt them they are not going to be scared of people, you have done well to block the holes but leave one open and place a trap there, they will take the bait and you should get them, we caught our mice with fresh bread and peanut butter, but you may have to move the trap around as if there is more than one they will smell the death of one and avoid that area, place traps where you know they are running and keep setting them, if you think you have got them all leave the traps down for 3 weeks after you last saw a mouse, we made the mistake of only trapping for two weeks after and then the babies came out and it all started again, best of luck honey, they need to go as they cause so much damage in the walls that you don't see. When mice or mouse enter your house do they stay or do they go out?
Mice go wherever there is food. If there is an easily accessible food source in your house, they won't leave (not for good anyway). It's good that you've blocked the holes, but they're might be some you don't know about. You should set traps.

Also, you can use poison. Rodent poisons are actually anti-coagulants, which cause mice to bleed to death internally. The only problem with this is, the mouse could die somewhere you can't get to it and you'll end up with a terrible stench in your house for a few days.
Was it one mouse 4 or 5 times, or 4 or 5 mice?

They're always exploring and they'll stay if they find food...

and if you've blocked those holes with them inside.....

Why not think of them as easy care pets?
hi, usually they stay especially if they hav a family, i was told by an expert that they can get in through vent holes (well lets put it this way if you can fit a biro/pen in to a hole then a mouse can fit through that, but dont go blocking up your vents ok?
if you are a slob and leave food lying around they will stay in the house, if not they will go out at night and forage in the woods
they come in when its winter and leave in the summer!
just get a cat
They usually breed in the house and spread disease by peeing on everything.
