What is the best way to get rid of mice in the house?

We just got an outdoor car (she is a little kitten right now) and mice seem to be getting in the house now. Should we bring the cat inside the house? What is the best way to get rid of mice? What is the best way to get rid of mice in the house?
Duh. You have her protecting the yard from rodents? What is the best way to get rid of mice in the house?
Call a pest professional to come see where they may be coming in from. He/She will seal off all the entry points and then lay poison for the ones inside to die. Also they put out glue traps, gross, but they work.
Get cats!
Bringing the cat indoors might help - it will certainly be more effective than having the cat outdoors.

Or, get traps. I would certainly recommend using humane traps that don't kill the mice but only contain them. You can then release them far away.
yeah get cats 5 of them really because its been proven that 5 cat together kill about 5 mice every 5minutes so the mice would be gone in no time.
Yep, bring her in and you won't have mice!
Bring the cat in, set traps in your cabinets out of reach of the cat (remember they can jump high and squeeze through small places) with some peanut butter on them (not cheese, they like sweet things best), and stick used S.O.S pads in any gaps you can stick your little finger in that lead outside, to the basement, and or any place you think they could be getting into your house from(they wont chew through those). A big thing is to put away ALL of your food where they can't get to it (cabinets without holes, refrigerator, Tupperware containers) and keep in mind they WILL chew through plastic bags and any sort of candy wrappers. If there is food out they will eat it and avoid the traps, even bubble gum (trust me).
