Why do mice get stuck in your walls and die?

why can't they ever die where u can find them so you won't have to deal with the smell for that long?Why do mice get stuck in your walls and die?
Ugh, that is a good question. I lived in NYC and had an awful mice problem in my apartment--they were living in my oven and would jump out at me from the burners. I put sticky traps all over the apartment and caught a ton of mice. Do you ever see them or only hear them in the walls? If you haven't already, put traps out and maybe you'll catch some before they die in the walls.Why do mice get stuck in your walls and die?
Where are in geographically? In cold weather areas, mice are attracted to the pink insulation in walls for warmth. And since they can squeeze through barely quarter size holes, they find a way to get in. Most of the time, get do get injured by nails, play, etc. So, based a combination of injuries, old age, etc., they tend to die inside walls.
Many creatures seek safety/shelter when sick or dying. So in this instance the mice like our hollow wall cavities. In offices sometimes they end up in the drop ceiling space.





That's why I'd never use poison.
