How are mice getting in my car?

I have a 2005 corolla and mice are somehow getting into it. I have found chewed up tissues in my glove box, so they must be making a nest. I just set some traps in my car. What is really bothering me is I have no idea how they are getting in.How are mice getting in my car?
hi, I had the same problem with them in my truck, it took a lot of looking but i finely found the problem, they were getting in through the air vent !!.some Howe the little buggers chewed through the plastic cowling under the hood from there they just followed the vent line tubing into my pick up...took me almost four weeks to get ride of them.the wife wouldn't,t go in the truck until they were gone aaaaah not really a bad thing!but mice can get into almost anything.sounds like they have taken up residence in your car. the traps will do them in in time. How are mice getting in my car?

Remember a mouse can get into a spot as small as a nickel. I had them under my hood and chewed wires so you need to get ride of them. My guess is the are getting in from the hood. If your car is in the garage you need to make sure you plug any wholes that you may have. You are not going to get ride of the problem until you get ride of the main spot they are coming in at. They like your car most because after you get back its hot.
do you park in your garage or outside? whichever you do park in, try parking in the other.

oh btw my name is blake too lol
Mice can fit into a space the size of a dime-soooo they could be getting in just about anywhere.
They are obviously after some type of food. I would completely clean the cars interior, including under the seats (the rear seat pops out and they have probably been under there too). Then get some cotton balls and put a few drops of pure 'oil of peppermint' on them and put them into the nooks and crannys near the floor where they travel. Mice HATE oil of peppermint (the pure stuff, not the extract, you can get it at major food stores). Also, set some poison (even though you may hate to do this) in the corners of your garage on the floor near doors and gaps. They will eat the poison and go away and die and stay out of your garage. Good luck.
