What size mice should a 6 month old ball python eat?

Right now i feed my ball python a fuzzy mouse every week. i dont know if that is enough. What size mice should a 6 month old ball python eat?
In order to tell what your snake should be eating, you locate the biggest part of the snake's body (usually this is in the middle of his body). You feed your snake no meal bigger around than that part of his body, but also keep in mind that the meal shouldn't be too small either. When you feed your snake, there should be a small noticeable lump in his body, indicating that the meal was big enough for him. If he lacks a lump at all, then the meal is too small.

Now all ball pythons grow at different paces, so you can't go by age in determining what your ball python should be eating. Use the rule of thumb above and you should have no problem figuring out the correct size meals for your snake. If you're not really great at eyeballing sizes, you can use your thumb and index finger to get a brief idea of how big around your snake is (just wrap the index and thumb around his midsection and then observe the size), that way when you go to the pet store (if this is how you obtain your snake's meals), you can pretty much have an idea of how big the mouse should be and pet stores are more than welcome to let you look at the mice and pick the one you want--of course once your snake grows you won't be able to use your index finger and thumb anymore, but it's a bit easier to eyeball sizes for larger snakes.

Keep up the once a week feeding regimen, this is ideal for baby ball pythons. Overfeeding is bad for your snake and can lead to many unwanted diseases, a shorter lifespan, and sometimes refusing to eat. I just mentioned this because people were suggesting you feed your snake twice a week, which isn't a good idea. Sometimes ball pythons go through brief periods of not eating, not because of overfeeding, but some do during the winter months (not all, but some). Ball pythons can go awhile without eating and remain perfectly healthy, the only time I would be concerned with underfeeding or lack of eating on the snake's part, would be if you noticed a considerable amount of weightloss (the sunken lines that go all the way down on the side of the snake), otherwise there is no need for concern.

When your snake becomes an adult, which is usually in 3-4 years, you will start to feed him less meals. What I mean by this is the snake will only be fed every 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. The reason for this is baby ball pythons and juveniles are constantly growing and require more food for proper growth, on the other hand, an adult has already became fully grown and doesn't require as many feedings as when they were younger. What size mice should a 6 month old ball python eat?
a good rule of thumb that i was told when i got mine is not to feed him anything that is bigger around than the snake.
Rats are better for them. So try and switch over, plus, by doing it now, you won't have to buy a million mice to feed it when it gets bigger.

But it can eat as big of mouse/rat as the fattest part of its body.
A six month old ball python should be able to eat a adult size mouse twice a week.
yes thats enough just make sure you dont last more than a week without feeding it
yeah thats enough but when you get in the bigger meals that will be to much like for instance rats when you feed it large or jumbo rats 1 time a week will be to much so try about every to weeks or atleast every week and a half. but on thing i will tell you is that if you dont have any clips on your fish tank then your ball python will get out i lost mine last night it got out of its cage so i bought some clips and i caught it later that night but you might not be so lucky i caught it just as it was about to go in a hole in my closet floor which leads to a crawl space which as you know would of killed it. its like 32 degrees here.
