Where do mice live during the day?

Do they always live in the walls? Or is it possible that they live in your things?Where do mice live during the day?
Mice may actually leave your home during the day and only visit at night, or they could stay inside the house. Places I've found nests inside were in with camping/hiking gear; shoes; under the kitchen cabinet (behind the toe kick.); under the stove (pull the bottom drawer out and you'll see the droppings; behind the dishwasher. Outside: in the dog house; under a decorative rock; under the shed.Where do mice live during the day?
they will typically have a nest in the walls or some other dark secluded space. they probably will not nest in your cabinets or clothing drawers. but they will cover every square inch of the house. they are remarkably flexible and have been known to be able to squeeze under the inch gap beneath your doors. best to try to exterminate them. if you see one mouse or cockroach there are many more you don't see. and for some reason they like the taste of the romex wire insulation. they could cause a fire if they eat all the way through it.
Mice generally sleep during the day, so anywhere it is quiet and dark is fine with them.
if you see a crack or opening and you can fit a nickel thru it then a mouse can go thru it. believe it or not.
some place where it is dark, and they can stay cool and have access to food.
